Steve
Since the beginning of this pregnancy I have woken up almost every night (sometime around 3 or 4) feeling like every cell in my body is void of water. I usually consume a large amount of water, pee and then wake up a few minutes later to pee again.
A few nights ago I had a particularly thirsty night and around 4 I woke up and drank half a nalgene. As I rolled over I remember thinking... my imaginary friend Steve wakes me up at night to tell me that I am thirsty. Satisfied, I went back to sleep. This was not just a fleeting thought! It was fact in my mind at the time. When I woke up I was only slightly embarrassed and I have now named my body pillow aka companion through pregnancy... Steve!

Crazieness
This will be quite an update! In the last few weeks so much has happened. Our precious baby is kicking me to death on a regular basis now. People still say that I look really small but I am measuring right on. We went to Texas for Jimmy's wedding and while we were there we went to see Ann. She will be delivering the baby at my parents house out in Texas. Everything looks really good. The only minor setback that I have is that my blood pressure is extremely low... 88/52. That only means that I have to be careful not to move too quick otherwise I will blackout. I also struggle with working out when I have to bend over a lot etc.
The pictures from the last few weeks will be on here as soon as possible. Sorry Baby, our camera is misplaced and all the pictures are on random cameras. We are getting so excited for our little one to show! We had a beautiful baby shower a few weeks ago and I will be sure to add that on here as well very soon!
I actually had a pleasant prenatal here at the midwifery center in Athens this week. Delrose was wonderful and made me laugh a lot. If we had to stay here I might actually consider her as a potential midwife to deliver my child... the others... not so much!

Yet Another Prenatal
I had another prenatal yesterday and I was slightly nervous because I had to go alone which has not been very pleasant in the past. My appointment was with Christy and I had a momentary panic because I could not remember the name of the first lady I saw and I was scared it was the same one.
I honestly would have gotten up and left if it had been.
Fortunately, it was not the same lady and all went really well. She was totally cool with everything that I want and even tapped out baby's heartbeat for me. I was not sure what she was doing until she stopped listening with the fetascope and then she told me she was copying the baby so I could see how fast it was.
She also suggested that I start looking into finding a pediatrician that will be, if not like-minded, okay with my desires ie. no vaccines. I never told her we were not vaccinating... she just assumed so because of the choices that we have made and that are on my file. I thought that was pretty cool because she would not have brought that up if she did not believe in the absence of vaccines as well.

Drip Drip Drip
As I am sure all of you who have previously been pregnant can attest...I now pee 10 times more often than I did before.
What all of you have failed to mention to me in the past is that an overwhelming urge to pee takes over your body inhibiting all rational thought and function until the deed has been done. Now this is not the frustrating part of the whole ordeal... that comes with the conclusion of the process when you only pee about a tablespoon per event.
How is it that I literally can not sleep through a tablespoon of pee? It is a sick joke and completely disruptive to my sleep cycle. I here it only gets worse so I guess I am thankful for my tablespoon pee events!

My Prediction of Pregnancy
I was reading through old blog posts today and found this one in reference to my sister Jeny during her second pregnancy with Adler.
Now for the real news....JENY IS PREGNANT!!!!!!!! When she told me I screamed. I have been demanding that she pop one out for months and now finally....! I have decided that it is a boy. I don't know why but I think that it is a boy and I am just too excited. The due date is November 17th. I can't wait for when you can see her stomach bulge...and she has a lot to look forward to as well: nausea, vomiting, tight clothing, awkward walking, cankles, sharp kicks to the ribs, impossibly small bladder, expectation of the pain of the Great Appearance, stretch marks, weird cravings, awful diet, sore back and fatigue. I can't wait to be pregnant (seriously)!!!!
Well folks... now I get to live it!

Our First and Only Ultrasound
The other day I was telling a girl at work about how we have chosen not to have any ultrasounds. She thought that it was cool but unfortunate that we did not have a picture of the baby yet. She decided to provide us with one. After finding out that Doug weighed 10lbs 11.5 ounces she made our baby have cankles and really fat arms. She also added 5 hairs on his/her head because both Doug and I have really thick hair (as opposed to the one hair she had at first). Then she put a diaper on it for modesty but I quickly informed her that it would be cloth that we are using. Not quite able to convey that in a picture... she made a little label so everyone would know. Thanks Kelly! Now everyone can see what our baby looks like!

For Shame
The other night I was headed into to Wal-Mart to pick up baby shower invitations for Noelle. She asked me to pick them out so that I will like them. I had just scarfed down some dinner in the car and was wiping the remnants of my food off my shirt when I passed a woman with her 15(ish) year old daughter.
I kid you not.... straight out of a movie my friends....
The lady looked me up and down twice and then said to her daughter, loud enough to make sure that I would hear,
"Shame on her!"
I know I look young and all but... really? I just laughed and kept walking. I could have gone over and told her that I am a happily married Christian woman who saved herself for marriage but I think that would have been a little much!

Linea Negra
So I noticed the funny looking line show up on my stomach this week. I knew it was coming but I was not sure when it would show. Anyway, nothing particularly exciting but then when I got my weekly email that tells me what is going on with baby the first thing that it said was that this week my linea negra would appear. At least I am moving along with the schedule of things!

Last App with Julie
I went to another prenatal last week. Seems like I do that a lot now! This was the best appointment so far. She was the least pushy this time. She did hear the heartbeat with the fetascope this time...145! I booked my next appointment with Delrose. From now on I will be switching around to a different midwife each time. There really is no point in building a relationship with any of the women there even if I was planning on having the baby there. The way it works is that when you go into labor whoever is on duty at that time delivers your baby. If you were planning on having your kid there it would be better to meet each woman so that atleast you have seen the face of the woman delivering your kid! I am glad that I don't have to deal with that!
The next appointment is the glucose test...not going to be taking that test so I guess we are back to peeing in a cup and seeing how fat I have gotten!

Latest
The baby moves all of the time now. I have a constant flopping around in my stomach and I love it! Doug gets to feel the baby all the time and we get really excited when baby consistently kicks in one area because Doug gets to feel it longer.
I have been having a wierd cramping on my left side the last few days. It feels like a stitch with constant dull pain. We think it is probably gas (never had gas pains before so I don't know what that is supposed to feel like) but there is a remote possibility something is wrong with the placenta so I have been trying to take it easy.
I throw up in my mouth at least 5 times a day. Yeah.... gross! I am used to it now so it does not bother me too much anymore. Ever since Noelle got pregnant I have also been nauseous again. We think there is some wierd hormone thing going on and that she is making me morning sick again...joy! It is not as bad as it was before but it has definitely come back. In fact, I feel nauseous right now. Thanks Noelle!

Twenty Week Prenatal
I went to a prenatal appointment on Thursday and nothing happened! Well, the usual things like pee in a cup, BP and weight but nothing else. She tried to listen to the baby with a fetascope to no avail. It really is too early to be able to hear baby but she is nervous about not doing an ultrasound or using the doppler ultrasound. She wants me to come back in for an appointment in two weeks so that she can listen again. She feels that it is really important that she hears the baby. I was hoping not to go back for another 6 weeks like last time but... oh well!
She did not push the ultrasound thing too hard this time because I brought in the troops with me: Mom, Noelle, and Grandma. When she asked me why I was choosing not to do an ultrasound (she asked me that last time) she did not even look at me but looked straight at Noelle. She probably assumes that I am Noelles little puppet but I don't really care what she thinks. Noelle told her how we both feel about abusing modern tools during pregnancy. If something indicates that there is something wrong with the baby I will most definitely use a doppler ultrasound or a regular one but unless something seems wrong I won't be using them.
I think that she feels better knowing that I am not a hard-headed idiot who refuses those things no matter what. Although I had assumed that she would know that I would use modern medicine if the need arose. Anyway, I learned my lesson about going alone last time and I won't do it again. It is sad that I experience a mini battle every time I go for a baby appointment...

Lame
I know some of my pictures of late have been very dark. This is due to the fact that I have been working so much and I get home so late. I am sorry that my pictures are not better but they will have to do until things slow down a bit!
