The baby moves all of the time now. I have a constant flopping around in my stomach and I love it! Doug gets to feel the baby all the time and we get really excited when baby consistently kicks in one area because Doug gets to feel it longer.
I have been having a wierd cramping on my left side the last few days. It feels like a stitch with constant dull pain. We think it is probably gas (never had gas pains before so I don't know what that is supposed to feel like) but there is a remote possibility something is wrong with the placenta so I have been trying to take it easy.
I throw up in my mouth at least 5 times a day. Yeah.... gross! I am used to it now so it does not bother me too much anymore. Ever since Noelle got pregnant I have also been nauseous again. We think there is some wierd hormone thing going on and that she is making me morning sick again...joy! It is not as bad as it was before but it has definitely come back. In fact, I feel nauseous right now. Thanks Noelle!

Twenty Week Prenatal
I went to a prenatal appointment on Thursday and nothing happened! Well, the usual things like pee in a cup, BP and weight but nothing else. She tried to listen to the baby with a fetascope to no avail. It really is too early to be able to hear baby but she is nervous about not doing an ultrasound or using the doppler ultrasound. She wants me to come back in for an appointment in two weeks so that she can listen again. She feels that it is really important that she hears the baby. I was hoping not to go back for another 6 weeks like last time but... oh well!
She did not push the ultrasound thing too hard this time because I brought in the troops with me: Mom, Noelle, and Grandma. When she asked me why I was choosing not to do an ultrasound (she asked me that last time) she did not even look at me but looked straight at Noelle. She probably assumes that I am Noelles little puppet but I don't really care what she thinks. Noelle told her how we both feel about abusing modern tools during pregnancy. If something indicates that there is something wrong with the baby I will most definitely use a doppler ultrasound or a regular one but unless something seems wrong I won't be using them.
I think that she feels better knowing that I am not a hard-headed idiot who refuses those things no matter what. Although I had assumed that she would know that I would use modern medicine if the need arose. Anyway, I learned my lesson about going alone last time and I won't do it again. It is sad that I experience a mini battle every time I go for a baby appointment...

Lame
I know some of my pictures of late have been very dark. This is due to the fact that I have been working so much and I get home so late. I am sorry that my pictures are not better but they will have to do until things slow down a bit!

Tiny Movements
Yesterday I was sitting at my grandparents house after a very eventful morning and and resting on the couch. I started to feel a persistent tapping on the lower right side of my stomach. It felt like someone was gently tapping his finger on the inside of my stomach. At first it just felt wierd but I immediately knew what it was. I am not sure how long this has been going on but yesterday was the first time I noticed!

Moving Blob in My Stomach
Yesterday we felt the baby move for the first time and when I say "we" I mean Noelle, Tiff, Doug and I. I have never felt baby on my own but with the help of Noelle and Tiff prodding and poking my stomach and showing us where to feel, we were both able to feel baby with our hands and I could feel it a little inside me. If they had not told me that it was the baby moving I would not have known. We had to squish baby a little so that I could feel him/her. We also used Dougs stethascope to listen to the movements and kicks. Doug did not get to hear the kicks but I did!!! We also heard the placenta... whoosh, whoosh, whoosh! The whole experience was awesome!
Last night I had my first painful, stabbing cramp in my lower stomach.... ouch! I am sure there are many more to come!
