Talon's Diagnosis

Talon was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis on Monday June 7th, 2010 at 11:17am. This is the last time that I will directly address his diagnosis on this blog because CF has nothing to do with who he is but is only something that he will have to deal with everyday. This blog is to follow his life... not his condition.

Talon does not have CF... instead we are claiming everyday that he is in the process of being healed from it. We accept the reality of today but look forward to his future without Cystic Fibrosis.

A very special girl in Talon's life nicknamed him The Eagle when he was born (Talon...eagle). An eagle knows when a storm is coming long before it arrives. He will fly to a high spot and wait. When the storm arrives, the eagle uses the wind to lift him high above the storm. While the storm rages the eagle soars above it. The eagle does not escape the storm but simply uses the storm to lift itself higher.

But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31

Nat,
I have been praying for you, Doug and Talon since Monday and I wanted you to know that there are literally thousands of people here in Colorado praying for y'all as well!
Our hope is in THE LORD who is our Jehovah Jireh, He provides for His children and Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals.
I love you and your family very much and will be praying for Talon's continued good health till his healing comes.

Natalie, be thankful everyday for your miracle, Talon. Do not worry about his "condition." I went from 16wks of my pregnancy to a 6 month old baby laying in his bed this morning not knowing if he was going to make it to the next day often. Or even if that day would be a good one. There are very few days I can honestly say have been bad ones and that is only due to one thing. No doctor MADE Reese better. They equipped us with the knowledge to make decisions and told us to pray! The few things that were done for him were long shots and did not truely improve or worsen his condition. God only did that! I will keep you in my prayers for I know the struggle of having a more delicate child. But they are just as precious. And you learn to cherish their lives (and your other children some day) more than you could ever imagine! Remember prayer is the most important things. But listen to ANY advice you can get from doctors.
